Judy Greer is joining in on the dysfunctional romance of Hulu’s Casual.
According to The A.V. Club, Greer has booked a recurring role for the third season of the Zander Lehmann comedy series, which is currently in production. She is set to play Judy, a newly single mother who is overworked and desperate for a break. Judy handles multiple jobs at a digital branding firm where she works and becomes romantically involved with Alex (Tommy Dewey).
Greer currently has War for the Planet of the Apes set for release this year, and can also be heard voicing Cheryl on FX’s Archer. Greer has previously worked with Casual star Michaela Watkins on the FX series Married, and she has also worked with Casual executive producer/director Jason Reitman on Men, Women & Children and Jeff, Who Lives at Home.
Hulu’s Golden Globe-nominated Casual stars Michaela Watkins, Tommy Dewey and Tara Lynne Barr as an unorthodox family struggling through life, love and issues of codependency. The series was created by Zander Lehmann, and is executive produced by Lehmann, Reitman, Helen Estabrook and Liz Tigelaar. Tigelaar also serves as showrunner. The series comes from Lionsgate and Right of Way.
Casual‘s third season is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere on Hulu this summer.
