

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Forever) will be hosting the reboot of Fear Factor at Fox. The Jackass star will be the new host in the series fully titled Fear Factor: The Next Chapter as he step into the shoes of Joe Rogan (The Joe Rogan Experience, Here Comes the Boom), who hosted the first iteration of the show on NBC from 2001-2006 and 2011-201. Ludacris (2 Fast 2 Furious, Dashing Through the Snow) also emceed the MTV’s version of the series from 2017-2018. Fear Factor: The Next Chapter is scheduled to premiere on the network between 2025-2026 season.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn (Teen Wolf, Little Brother) said in a statement, “Johnny Knoxville is the champion of fearless entertainment. His wild sense of humor, unmatched ability to push boundaries and take on the extreme makes him the perfect fit to lead this bold new reinvention of Fear Factor.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sharon Levy (Like Water for Chocolate, Deal or No Deal Island), CEO of Fear Factor producer Endemol Shine North America added, “when you reimagine a series as legendary as Fear Factor, you need a host who is the epitome of daring charisma and spectacle, and that’s Johnny Knoxville personified. We’ll be pushing fear and social strategy to places that will redefine reality competition, which makes Johnny the perfect host for what will be a wild, unforgettable ride, and we’re beyond excited to see him unleash all the fear and the fun on our contestants and our viewers.”
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Fox announced its Fear Factor update at May’s upfronts. The new reboot will feature many of the original gross-out challenges, in addition to ongoing gameplay elementss, with all contestants living together and competing for a grand prize at the end of the season.
