Jenna Ortega Talks About Winona Ryder Having A Possible Cameo On Season Two Of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’

According to ComicBookJenna Ortega (You), star of Netflix’s Wednesday, talked about Winona Ryder (Stranger Things) possibly appearing in the series’ second installment. Ortega will be in the new Beetlejuice movie, playing the daughter of Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz. Fans are hyped for the film but hope to see Ortega and Ryder collaborate more. Although this is the case, Ortega made it clear that Ryder would unlikely appear in the second season of the Netflix original series. Ortega spoke with GamesRadar about the idea of the cameo

“Man, that would be cool, but that girl is so busy. She really has no time, even trying to get to get together to do this, you know, it was tricky,” Ortega shared with GamesRadar. “So I don’t know about that but obviously, I would love to work with Winona again, and if it’s not on Wednesday, then it’s going to be on something else, I hope.”

She added, “We talk about it all the time, and that would be really sweet for me.”

As per ComicBook, the first season of Wednesday was a complete hit on Netflix when it premiered. The series established more of Ortega’s acting abilities although she was already an established actress. Although there was much success for both Netflix and Ortega she recalls how intimidated she was to come back for  second season.

“I was a little terrified just because it had been years since Wednesday, since we shot the first one. We did that like two or three years ago in Romania,” Ortega recalled on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “So, I didn’t really know how I … I just was, I think, overthinking it. But as soon as you put on the costumes by Colleen Atwood, you get hair and makeup done, and then you take all the expression out of your face, it’s like, ‘Oh, okay. I know how to do this.'”

The second season of Wednesday is currently under production.
