Jason Patric (Narc, The Lost Boys) has been cast in a recurring role for the upcoming fifth season of Law & Order: Organized Crime, marking the actor’s rare appearance on television. According to Deadline, Patric will play Detective Tim McKenna in the crime drama, which follows the Organized Crime Control Bureau as they tackle some of New York City’s most dangerous criminal syndicates. His addition hints at new storylines and conflicts that could shake up the Organized Crime Control Bureau’s pursuit of justice.
The series, starring Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Oz, Man of Steel), will shift from NBC to Peacock for its fifth season, set to debut sometime this year. Patric will appear alongside returning cast members Danielle Moné Truitt (Rebel, Deputy), Ainsley Seiger (Law and Order: Special Victims Unit), Rick Gonzalez (The Lost Symbol, Arrow) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad, Claws, United States of Al). Created by Dick Wolf (FBI, Chicago franchise), Matt Olmstead (Prison Break, NYPD Blue, Chicago P.D.) and Ilene Chaiken (Barb Wire, The Handmaid’s Tale, The L Word), the show is produced by Universal Television, part of Universal Studio Group, in partnership with Wolf Entertainment. Executive producers include Wolf, Meloni, Paul Cabbad (Blue Bloods) and Peter Jankowski (FBI: Most Wanted, When You’re Strange).
This role marks Patric’s second major television commitment, having previously starred in Fox’s Wayward Pines season two. Widely recognized for his film work in The Lost Boys, Speed 2 and Narc, his more recent projects include the action movie Armor and the hit horror trilogy Terrifier 3. Patric is represented by More Medavoy Management and the law firm Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson and Christopher. The upcoming season aims to expand on the show’s gritty storytelling and intricate character arcs, making Patric’s role a highly anticipated addition.
