Jason Momoa is So Excited To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ That He Loses His Pants

Jason Momoa (Aquaman) is quite pumped to be hosting Saturday Night Live this upcoming Saturday, November 18th. The latest promotional video for the live sketch comedy show highlights the excitement and joy the hosting gig is bringing the Aquaman star himself. But who can blame him? Many people would jump for joy at the simple thought of hosting SNL, and Momoa is no exception.

In the video, it opens with flashes of the sketches past that Momoa starred in during his first hosting gig. He then enters the studio with joy and excitement as he dances around, and starts to take off his jacket and overshirt. While the actor is jumping around gleefully, the SNL cast member Ego Nwodim (Spin Me Round) enters studio 8H and briefly interrupts him. He cheerfully shouts at Nwodim “Ego! I’m so happy to be back!” With that, she replies “Yeah, hey, we love you…” with a similar happy cadence but with a slightly concerned tone. It’s after that when the camera pulls back to reveal the big punchline of the humorous video.

It is revealed that Momoa is not wearing any pants.

As the camera zooms out to reveal the pixelated below-the-waist visual, Nwodim says to Momoa, “You just can’t be wearing your underwear, this is a workplace.”

Momoa then replies to the cast member after looking down and noticing his lack of pants, “No! I’m sorry. When I get Excited, I forget my pants.” Nwodim then tries to convince him to put his pants back on, but to that request, Momoa looks up at her with a slightly sinister look and says “No chance!” as he resumes jumping around the studio, happy as a clam.

Jason Momoa will be hosting SNL this Saturday, November 18 with Tate McRae (“greedy”, “you broke me first”) as the musical guest. You can watch it on NBC or stream it on Peacock. Check out the new promo video below!
