Emmy winner Jason Bateman (Silver Spoons, Little House On The Prairie) is no stranger to television. He currently is not showing any signs of slowing down. According to TVLine, on Thursday, September 18, the limited series Black Rabbit will be the premiering on Netflix, starring Bateman and Jude Law (Eden, The Order). These two actors will team up to play brothers. The title refers to a restaurant and VIP lounge that becomes the hottest spot in New York. Law portrays brother Jake Friedken, who is the owner of the restaurant, while Bateman portrays Vince, the other brother. Vince unexpectedly returns to the family business, bringing trouble, trauma, and dangers that threaten the family.
In the official trailer released last Wednesday, TVLine mentions that the limited series features car chases, gunshots, and arson as the two brothers try to hold their heads above water, trying to save the restaurant, Black Rabbit. Troubles get worse for the two brothers as Jake sinks into debt for $20,000. This happens coincidentally just after Vince has cleared his debt.
TVLine also mentions that the series will be featuring a large cast of actors including Cleopatra Coleman (Clipped, Infinity Pool), Amaka Okafor (Bodies, The Responder), Sope Diriu (Slow Horses, His House), Troy Kotsur (Coda, The Number), Abbey Lee (The Neon Demon, Old), Chris Coy (The Absence of Eden, The Peripheral), Dagmara Dominczyk (Rock Star, Succession) Odessa Young (The Professor, Assassination), Robin De Jesus (Camp, Hair Brained), Amir Malaklou (The Old Man, The Endgame), Don Harvey (Casualies of War, The Deuce), Forrest Weber (The Blacklist, Law & Order), Francis Benhamou (Daredevil, I’m Not Me), plus many more.
According to TVLine, Bateman will direct the first two episodes and serve as executive producer with Law and the series creators, Zach Baylin ( The Crow, The Order) and Kate Susman (The Order, Sound + City).
