James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Returns with Season 2 on Apple Music

Carpool Karaoke season two trailer drops ahead of its premiere on Friday. A spin-off of James Corden’s popular skit on the Late Late Show, the series premiered on the Apple Music platform last year which met with great reviews.

The show was recognized at the Emmys not only for its nomination but for when it won the category of Outstanding Short Form Variety Series. This was a huge achievement for Apple who had started to dabble in original programming with not much to offer at first when it came to creating shows. It was considered a risky thing to do in the tech world, but Apple pulled it off with grace.

The show brings two people together whether they are singers, actors, or even athletes. That is the interesting concept about this show that makes it so popular and relatable. Music can bring out so much from anyone no matter what their occupation or background is. It brings together people who have probably never talked to each other before and are now jamming out to their favorite tunes as a duet.

The series brought in big names such as Lebron James, Will Smith, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Maisie Williams, and etc. Executive producer and Late Late Show’s James Corden has sat in couple of episodes with Will Smith and Lebron James. Season two’s trailer did not shy away from great names such as the Muppets, Snoop Dogg, The Lonely Island, Quincy Jones with his daughter Rashida Jones, and many more.

Did we mention that “Weird Al”, himself, will be a guest?

With so many of our favorite celebrities taking part in this series, the new season is looking even better than the previous.

Carpool Karaoke returns on Friday, October 12 at 1 PM ET on Apple Music. A new episode will be made available each Friday.
