FXX’s longest running series, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has released a trailer anticipating its return for its 12th season.
The season will feature a musical episode and a guest appearance by Quantum Leap‘s Scott Bakula, among other things, IndieWire reports. The red-band trailer for the new season is below and chronicles the gang as they of course, involve themselves in some NSFW shenanigans.
Created by Rob McElhenney, It’s Always Sunny debuted in August, 2005 on FX. The series centers around “The Gang,” a group of conceited, narcissistic friends who run Paddy’s Pub in South Philadelphia, and their many vices. It stars Glenn Howerton (Fargo), McElhenney (The Mindy Project), Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses), Kaitlin Olson (The Mick), and Danny DeVito (Taxi). The series moved to FXX in 2013 at the start of its ninth season, and the network has already renewed the series for a 13th and 14th season.
Season 12 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will premiere Wednesday, January 4, exclusively on FXX.
