Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe started asking questions today when it appeared a possible reunion was in the works between Daredevil: Born Again and Netflix’s The Defenders. According to Comicbook, Mike Colter (I’m Charlie Walker, Law and Order: Trial by Jury) and Finn Jones (Leatherface, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines) shared similar posts on social media confirming they were in New York City at the same time. Daredevil: Born Again is currently filming in the Big Apple, with stars Charlie Cox (Moby Dick, Stardust) and Krysten Ritter (Veronica Mars, The Cleveland Show). 

With Ritter being the latest Netflix star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans speculate if she would be the last. Colter depicted Luke Cage in Netflix’s grounded TV universe, while Jones played Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist. Both Luke Cage and Iron Fist received two seasons. Both characters appeared in the crossover miniseries The Defenders.

According to Comicbook, @Warling on X captured both social media posts via Instagram. Via his Instagram story, Colter posted a photo of his window view in NYC; with the skyline in the distance and dark buildings beneath it. Separately, Colter commented on a photo on Jones’s page simply stating, “My dude,” with a muscle emoji.

According to Comicbook, Finn Jones recently petitioned to return to his role as Danny Rand, or also known as the Iron Fist during an appearance at the La Conve Monterrey anime convention in Mexico this past March. Jones, who is also known for his role in Game of Thrones, has portrayed Danny Rand in the first two seasons of Netflix’s Iron Fist.

Per ComicBookMovie.com, the controversy has not deterred Jones from wanting to be recast as Danny. The actor explained: “I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is ‘give me a f*cking chance, man.’ I’m here, and I’m ready, and I wanna prove people wrong.”

While we received the Daredevil reboot, it has not yet been confirmed if others will follow suit. However, MCU fans are anxiously awaiting these answers. Until then Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders are available on Disney+.
