With the third season to the renowned animated series, Invincible having wrapped up with its finale back in March 13th, new course is set for the future of the series. According to Comicbook, the series has been well known for being a faithful adaption from the works of Robert Kirkman (Science Dog), but season four will be following a whole new original storyline, that could potentially have Mark, voiced by Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) facing forces deadly than either Conquest, voiced by Jeffrey Dee Morgan (Supernatural or Angstrom Levy, voiced by Sterling K. Brown (Frozen II).
According to Comicbook, the new season will surely pick up where the previous one ended, with Mark having defeated Conquest with the aid of Oliver, voiced by Christian Convery (Diary of the Wimpy Kids) and Eve, voiced by Gillian Jacobs (Rick and Morty). Of course the finale leaves fans with unanswered questions, such as why did Cecil, voiced by Walter Higgins (Fallout), save Conquest or the reappearance of Damian Darkblood, voiced by Clancy Brown (SpongeBob Squarepants), who seems to have made a plan with a smaller demon, who is voiced by Bruce Campbell (Burn Notice).
According to Comicbook, Kirkman goes on to talk about the demon detective’s return, “In the comics, he was never sent to hell. He was a great character that we loved from the first season. Clancy Brown’s portrayal of him was spot-on and so terrific,”. He further adds excitement working with such a creative actor like Campbell,” Oh my God, and we got to work with Bruce Campbell. It’s the best. He could be the devil. Could be. We’ll just have to see. Maybe I shouldn’t have spoiled that.”
According to a mxdwn post, season four for the highly acclaimed animated series has already began production, and will surely showcase brand new characters from the comic. While fans await further information on what the storyline will be in the future seasons, all previous season of Invincible are available to stream on Prime Video.
