‘Industry’ Scores A Fourth Season Renewal At HBO

Following record ratings during its current run, HBO has officially renewed Industry for fourth season, according to a press release. The finance drama created by Mickey Down (The Avengers and Gregor) and Konrad Kay premiered in 2020.

According to the press release, the UK-based series has seen an immense uptick in viewership after coveting the 9 p.m. Sunday timeslot after the season-two run of HBO’s House of the DragonWith an average of 1.6M viewers per episode, the third season is outpacing season two by nearly 40% and continues to grow. The last five weeks of viewership is the series’ best, paired with social conversations at a two-time high and growing by double-digits each week.

“We are beyond thrilled and grateful to HBO, the incredible team at Bad Wolf and our phenomenal cast and crew for their continued belief in Industry and for allowing us to grow as creators, writers and now directors whilst taking the show to new heights. We can’t wait to dive deeper and deliver the best season yet in season 4,” Down and Kay explained in a statement via the press release. The co-creators serve as writers, executive producers, and directors on the show.

For those who have not caught the growing show just yet, Industry follows a group of interns at a prestigious investment firm fighting to mold their professional and personal identities amidst a toxic world of politics, sexism, substance misuse, and personal trauma. This season welcomed Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, The Eternals) as Sir Henry Muck, the bold CEO of green tech company, Lumi. He elects Pierpoint to manage his company’s IPO, but the partnership unravels as the environmental startup is exposed as a fraud.

The series stars Marisa Abela (Rogue Agent, Back to Black) as Yasmin, Harry Lawety (Joker: Folie a Deux, The Pale Blue Eye) as Robert, Ken Leung (Missing, Lost) as Eric, and My’Hala (Leave the World Behind, Bodies Bodies Bodies) as Harper.

The final two episodes of Industry’s third season air on Sunday, September 22 and 29 at 9 p.m. ET on Max and 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
