Canada’s Comedy Network now has the rights to air IFC series Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Comedy Bang! Bang! was originally a podcast and has become a popular comedy on IFC. It stars Scott Aukerman as the host and Reggie Watts as his sidekick. Comedy Bang! Bang! features many different celebrity guests, including Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler and Zach Galifianakis, notes the Hollywood Reporter.
Bunk is a game show hosted by comedian Kurt Braunohler, where comedians are put on the spot and “armed with nothing but their wits as they respond to images they’ve never seen before, make up songs on the spot, complete drawing and sculpture challenges and interact with modern dancers, puppies, babies, gospel singers and more,” as described by IFC.
Tricon Films & Television, distributor of the series has made a deal with Canada’s Comedy Network that includes 30 half-hour airings of Comedy Bang! Bang! and 10 half-hours of Bunk, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Canadian Comedy Network will air both series in an hour-long block starting July 26 at midnight.
