According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu reveals the official trailer for the sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. The Hulu original starting Elisabeth Moss will finally be back and will premiere on the streamer on April 8 with weekly episodes until May 27.

“Rise up and fight for your freedom!” screams June. “We use all of our friends, everyone and anyone who hates Gilead, to finally declare: enough.”

The Handmaid’s Tale is based on a novel by Margaret Atwood (Book of Lives: A Memoir of Sorts) and follows women, known as Handmaids, who are forced into sexual servitude to bear children for the ruling elite. The series stared in 2017 and ill end this year with its sixth and final season.

When the fifth season of the series concluded, Moss told The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s actually a pretty positive ending for the show and the season, which we don’t usually do. It’s a cliffhanger … but there’s something positive about it. Of course, of all the people that would be on the train is this person who is her other half, the other half of this experience.”

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the logline for the final season is as follows: “June’s unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke and Moira join the resistance. Serena tries to reform Gilean while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia reckon with what they wrought, and Nick faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June’s journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.”

Along with Moss cast of the series includes Bradley Whitford (The Cabin in the Woods), Ann Dowd (Teenage Euthanasia), Samira Wiley (Blade Runner: Black Lotus), Madeline Brewer (Orange Is the New Black), Amanda Brugel (The Death of James), Sam Jaeger (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Ever Carradine (Based on a True Story), Josh Charles (Dead Poets Society) and many others.
