Hulu released the official trailer for its upcoming series based on actress Pamela Anderson (Baywatch) and musician Tommy Lee on Wednesday, according to CNN. Pam & Tommy, starring Lily James (Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again) as Anderson and Sebastian Stan (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Lee, will debut on February 2.
Pam & Tommy follows the theft of Anderson and Lee’s sex tape and its subsequent sale without their consent. The couple eventually divorced and won a lawsuit against the company who stole their tape, the Internet Entertainment Group.
While Anderson has yet to comment on the series, Lee said via CNN, “The story’s actually cool. What actually happened wasn’t, but [Stan] tells me it’s pretty wild. I feel like it was forever ago. But it’s a cool story and people need to know. It’s cool. I’m stoked.”
In the trailer, the couple’s contractor, Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogan, Superbad) and Uncle Miltie (Nick Offerman, Parks and Recreation), are shown stealing the tape that was filmed on Anderson and Lee’s honeymoon. Hulu will release the first three episodes of the eight-episode limited series on February 2. New episodes will stream each week. The trailer can be viewed below.
