According to Screen Rant, Hulu released a new trailer today for the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building. The new season is set to premiere on August 27. The trailer is available to watch below:
Starring Steve Martin (Pink Panther, Father of the Bride) as Charles-Haden Savage, Martin Short (Three Amigos, Treasure Planet) as Oliver Putnam and Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place, Emilia Perez) as Mabel Mora, Only Murders in the Building follows a trio of amateur true-crime podcasters as they repeatedly find themselves getting involved in their own murder mysteries. According to mxdwn, the fourth season of Hulu’s Emmy award-winning series picks up after season three’s cliffhanger, where Charles’ friend and stunt double, Sazz Pataki, played by Jane Lynch (Glee, Role Model), is shockingly murdered. Fearing that the killer is after Charles next, the trio sets out to protect him and find the culprit.
While on the hunt, the Arconia team finds themselves traveling from New York to Hollywood, where a movie based on their podcast is being produced. Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek, American Pie), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives, Land of Women) and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover, Due Date) join the cast as themselves, playing the Arconia team in their Hollywood biopic and offering to tag along on the murder mystery. The trailer also teases the addition of Melissa McCarthy (The Little Mermaid, Gilmore Girls) as Charles’ sister, Richard Kind (Inside Out, Young Sheldon), Molly Shannon (Superstar, How the Grinch Stole Christmas) and Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals, Lovebirds).
However, the star-studded cast doesn’t end there. The trailer also teases the return of Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers, The Lost City) as Detective Williams, Michael Cyril Creighton (High Maintenance, The Outside Story) as Howard Morris and Meryl Streep (Mamma Mia, The Devil Wears Prada) as Loretta Durkin.
Only Murders in the Building is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+, and season 4 will premiere on August 27.
