Deadline writes that Hulu is all engines go, with the reboot of X-Files! The reboot stars Himesh Patel (Station Eleven, Yesterday) and Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall, Carry-On) with a show runner of Jennifer Yale (See, Legion).
According to Deadline, Deadwyler and Patel are playing original, brand new characters for the show. Not to mention that Sinners creator Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed) who is creating the pilot for the X-Files pilot. The show portrays two FBI agents which are played by Patel and Deadwyler who form a bond to solve the nonsense of the world. Yale also produces the X-files show along with the previous creator, Chris Carter (Milienium, The X-Files) as well as Coogler, Sev Ohanian (Searching, Judas and the Black Messiah) and Zinzi Coogler (Creed III, Space Jam: A New Legacy) of Proximity Media. Currently, the pilot is being cast by Francine Maisler (Meet The Fockers, Close to You).
This summer, Patel goes back to work with Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Oppenheimer) for The Odyssey at Universal Pictures, which is going to premiere July 2026. The movie also stars Matt Damon (Jason Borne, The Martian), Mia Goth (Pearl, Infinity Pool), Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada, The Idea of You), Robert Pattinson (Die My Love, Twilight), James Remar (It: Welcome to Derry, Dexter), Bill Irwin (Rachael Getting Married, Interstellar), Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Impossible), Zendaya (Challengers, The Drama), Charlize Theron (The Devils Advocate, Mad Max, Fury Road), and Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Accountant). He also reprises his role as Dr. Watson in Enola Holmes 3 for Netflix, starring opposite Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Modern Family), Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher), Helena Bonham Carter (Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and Louis Partridge (The Lost Girls, House of Guinness).
