Hulu Adds ‘The Golden Girls’ and ‘Black-ish’ to its Streaming Library

Hulu continues to bolster its growing original slate with its solid off-network TV streaming library.

According to The A.V. Club Hulu took time at its TCA panel to announce it has acquired streaming rights to classic comedy series The Golden Girls and ABC’s current hit comedy series Black-ish. All episodes of Black-ish are available now and the entirety of The Golden Girls will be available to stream starting February 13th.

This marks the first time that all 180 episodes of The Golden Girls‘ 1985-1992 run will be available online. The series, centering on four single, elderly Floridian women living together under one roof, starred Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty. The series won multiple Emmys and Golden Globes, and is one of the few sitcoms to have all of its four stars receive Emmy nominations.

ABC’s Black-ish just returned from its winter hiatus for its midseason premiere this week and recently earned its first Golden Globe nomination in the category of Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy. Like many network shows available for streaming on Hulu, episodes of Black-ish will also be available on Hulu the day after they air on ABC. The Kenya Barris-created series stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Jenifer Lewis and Peter Mackenzie.
