According to TV Line, the third season of Ginny & Georgia has reached a new high at the top of Nielsen’s U.S. streaming originals. More precisely, for the week of June 2nd, the show raked in 2.9 billion minutes of viewing time across all 30 of its episodes.

TV Line confirms that this is the biggest week of its performance and makes it the fourth-best week for any original series this year. Coming in ahead of the series is Squid Game, which made it all the way to an unreal 4.6 billion viewing minutes for the week of January 5th, and The Night Agent, which came in just ahead of Ginny & Georgia at 3.11 billion viewing minutes for the week of January 20th. It also placed a second time, just barely nudging past Ginny & Georgia at 2.92 billion viewing minutes for the week of January 27th.

According to Nielsen, the series is absolutely dominating this week ending June 8th. With over twice the total viewership of its closest rival, The Accountant 2 on Prime Video, it’s safe to say that the hit Netflix series has made a statement. Nielsen also reveals that 45% of the show’s audience is made up of those under the age of 35, and that it maintains an over-index of black viewers at 19%

Per TV Line, the other top ten originals for the week of June 2nd were Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Netflix’s Stranger Things, Paramount+’s Mobland, Netflix’s Tires, and YOU. As far as the overall ratings are concerned, TNT’s Animal Kingdom, which recently became available on Netflix, snagged the number three spot. The show reigned in 1.1 billion viewing minutes across its 75-episode library.

According to Nielsen’s “Originals” chart, coming in below Gina & Georgia is Netflix’s Dept. Q, which saw 1.1 billion viewing minutes with only nine episodes. Also worth mentioning, coming in just behind are The Better Sister, Love Island USA, and Sirens.
