International Partnership Expands HBO Max To Two More Countries

Two streaming sources, one that is based in France called Canal+ that is like Prime video, and another called Warner Bros. Discovery signed a multi-year, many country agreement overseas to expand HBO max. Ironic because they declined a deal with Paramount and were bought by Netflix, but are still working hard to produce weekly content.

Variety writes that this deal is very important to all streaming services and with the two companies, because of the renewal in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania just to name a few places overseas. Canal+ is soon to expand to Belgium and Austria, and even more very soon too. Things that will be renewed in the streaming service is Cartoon Network, Cartoonito and CNN International in select places overseas.

In Africa, the thematic channels that will be renewed are CNN International, Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network Porto, Cartoonito, Cartoonito Porto, Discovery Channel, Discovery Family, Real Time, ID, TLC, HGTV, Travel, TNT Africa, and Food Network. Those channels mentioned are what customers call the most popular and most wanted channels to be kept.

Deals and negotiations had began between Canal+ and Warner Bros. Discovery started in 2024 and continue to go on, after Canal+ paid for six month for Warner Bros. Films as well as Netflix buying Warner Bros. Discovery. “Our intentions when we buy Warner Bros. will be to continue to release Warner Bros. studio movies in theaters with the traditional windows,” Sarandos said in an interview with Canal+ and CEO chair Maxime Saada. “Then those movies would flow through the Canal+ output deal. That’s very exciting for us.”

Canal+ as well as Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix wants to release a lot more movies, shows, and channels as time goes on in 2026. Whether it is overseas or new movies, the show must go on!
