According to Deadline, the Japanese actor recently seen in The Wolverine will co-star opposite in Halle Berry in upcoming drama series called Extant. The show is produced by Mickey Fisher and Steven Spielberg.
The plot is about an astronaut (Berry) who returns home after a year-long solo mission in space. and she tries to reconnect with her family. Hiroyuki Sanada will play the role of a wealthy technological genius who is using his money privatizing all the space programs in the world into a single entity.
