Parks and Recreation will feature Henry Winkler to play as Jean-Ralphio’s father in the new season this fall, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Winkler’s appearance will be in the season six premiere, taking place in London, airing September 26. His role to the show adds another member to the extended Jean-Ralphio family, after Jenny Slate played his sister Mona-Lisa in a 2013 episode.
Most noted for his role as the Fonz on Happy Days, and recent come-back to comedy as Barry Zuckerkorn on Arrested Development and Sy Mittleman on Childrens Hospital, Winkler is the second well-known actor that Parks has chosen for its new season. Kristen Bell will also appear as an uptight city councilwoman from the rich, snobbish, Pawnee counterpart that is Eagleton, Rolling Stone reported.
Fans will have to wait till fall to see if Winkler’s character displays similar attributes making up the Tom Haverford partying sidekick that is Jean-Ralphio, the antithesis of everything Jean-Ralphio stands for, or something different Parks creators Greg Daniels and Michael Schur have in mind.
