HBO’s hit series The White Lotus has welcomed another slew of actors to its cast for its third season! According to Variety, five additional actors will be on board: Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase, Gen V), Sam Nivola (White Noise, Maestro), Aimee Lou Wood (Living, Sex Education), Sarah Catherine Hook (Impeachment: American Crime Story, First Kill) and Walton Goggins (The Shield, Justified). In a development from our last story, several actors have continued to be tied to this series, such as Dom Hetrakul (Duangjai Taewaprom, Blackbeard) and Leslie Bibb (Jupiter’s Legacy, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby)
Other cast members that have been revealed are Jason Issacs (The State Within, The Patriot), Parker Posey (Dazed and Confused, Beau Is Afraid), Tayme Thapthimthong (Hooked, Farang) and Michelle Monaghan (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Path).
There will also be a few more actors in this season, such as Miloš Biković (South Wind, Ice), Morgana O’Reilly (Housebound, Inside), Christian Friedel (The Zone of Interest, 13 Minutes), Shalini Peiris (The Ark, The Good Karma Hospital) and Lek Patravadi (The White Lotus).
Another star known for her work on The Gilded Age, Carrie Coon (Gone Girl, Ghostbusters: Afterlife), is set to be in season three, along with Natasha Rothwell (Wonka, Wish), who will be reprising her role as Belinda.
Gersh and Luber Roklin Entertainment represents Hook, Darris Hatch Management and CAA represent Goggins, UTA and Narrative represent Nivola, UTA, Patrick Knapp, Viewpoint and Entertainment 360 represent Schwarzenegger, and CAA and Independent Talent represent Wood.
Production of The White Lotus is set to take place around and in Phuket, Bangkok, Koh Samui and Thailand starting in February. Plot details have not been unveiled yet, but Variety notes that it will feature a brand-new group of guests at a White Lotus property.
The White Lotus was created by Mike White (School of Rock, The Good Girl), who also serves as the director and executive producer. The series’ co-executive producers are Mark Kamine (American Hustle, 42) and David Bernad (Uncharted, The Mule). The Tourism Authority of Thailand will help HBO with promotion of the new season as well as filming.
The series debuted in 2021 to great success. As per Variety, The White Lotus won half of its 20 Emmy nominations following its first season set in Hawaii, including best limited or anthology series. The series then went on to win five Emmys after being nominated for 23, including best drama series after the release of its second season in December of 2022, which was set in Sicily.
