Early this morning, actors Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie, HIM) and Skye P. Marshall (Matlock, Black Lightning) announced the nominations for the 83rd Golden Globes. According to TVLine, this year’s TV noms are led by the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus and Netflix’s limited drama Adolescence, followed by Apple TV’s Severance and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
According to TVLine, The White Lotus scored six, including Drama Series, and several Supporting Actor nominations for Carrie Coon (The Gilded Age, Avengers: Infinity War), Parker Posey (Superman Returns, Scream 3), Aime Lou Wood (Living, Sex Education), Jason Isaacs (Mass, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), and Walton Goggins (Fallout, The Righteous Gemstones). The British limited series Adolescence follows with five nominations, including acting noms for Emmy winners Stephen Graham (Good Boy, Blitz), Erin Doherty (The Crown, Chloe) and Owen Cooper, and Emmy nominee Ashley Walters (Top Boy, A Thousand Blows).
On the comedy side, TV Line lists the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building scored its main cast — Steve Martin (Father of the Bride, The Jerk), Martin Short (The Santa Clause 3, Grimsburg), and Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place, Spring Breakers) — nominations along with Hacks Jean Smart (Designing Women, Fraiser) and Hannah Einbinder (Strange Planet, How to be Broke) and Adam Brody (The O.C., Ready or Not) and Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, The Good Place) for Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.
The 83rd annual Golden Globes will take place on January 5, 2025, on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Nikki Glaser (I Feel Pretty, Trainwreck) will return to host. See the full list of nominations below.
