HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ Announces July Premiere Date

The upcoming original series The White Lotus for HBO has announced that it will premiere on July 11 for the premium cable network, according to a Warner Media and HBO press release. Created by Mike White (School of Rock, Enlightened), The White Lotus is set to be a limited series consisting of six episodes and will air on the network at 10 PM EST on Sunday, July 11. White will serve as a writer for the series in addition to being the director for an undetermined number of the limited series’ run. The series will be executive produced by White in addition to Nick Hall (Looking), David Bernad (The Mule), and Mark Kamine (Ted, American Hustle). 

The White Lotus will center on the employees of the titular Hawaiian tropical resort and the collection of strange interactions between the workers and guests during their stay. This upcoming series acts as White’s second series for HBO following Enlightened that starred Laura Dern (Marriage Story) and Diane Ladd (Joy) which ran for 18 episodes during its run. This tropical and satirical comedy series will star Connie Britton (American Horror Story), Brittany O’Grady (Star), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective, Baywatch), Steve Zahn (Treme, Daddy Day Care), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), Fred Hechinger (Eighth Grade), Jennifer Coolidge (Legally Blonde), Natasha Rothwell (Insecure), and Murray Bartlett (Looking).

The White Lotus will premiere for HBO in addition to being available for streaming on HBO Max following the premiere of new episodes. Currently, there is no trailer for the upcoming satirical comedy series.
