The long awaited Rock-n-Roll drama from Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terrence Winter is seeing its two writers and showrunners depart, Deadline reports.
Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who were tapped as showrunners in August, have left the project in what is being described as a mutual decision stemming from differences over the series’ creative direction. The pair was supposed to do some rewriting on Winter’s pilot script while working with the writer.
There is no time frame for when the series will launch. Winter just took over the showrunner role on Boardwalk Empire for the fourth season and already been renewed for a fifth. Scorsese has been focusing on features and Jagger has been working on his music.
Earlier this summer, Bobby Canavale was attached to play the lead role.
