HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm has been renewed for a tenth season. Production on the new season is set to begin next spring.
The Emmy-winning series, which stars Larry David, just received two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations including outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series for David and outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.
HBO programming president Casey Bloys said, “We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility.”
David added, “As I’ve said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so.”
Curb Your Enthusiasm first debuted on HBO in 2000. After a six year absence from television in 2011, the HBO comedy series returned this year for a ninth season. David stars as a fictionalized version of himself. Along with David, the show also stars Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Cheryl Hines, Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Ted Danson, and Mary Steenburgen who returned in the ninth season. Elizabeth Banks, Lauren Graham, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Nick Offerman, and Bryan Cranston were also featured as guest stars. Curb Your Enthusiasm was created by Larry David and is executive produced by David, Garlin, and Jeff Schaffer. Season 9 ended with Larry on the run from man who didn’t get the memo that Larry’s fatwa had been revoked.
A premiere date has not been set for the upcoming tenth season.
