HBO’s original comedy series Somebody Somewhere captures the struggles of protagonist 40-year-old Sam Miller, a Midwest woman facing the challenges of life while finding community among fellow small-town misfits. According to mxdwn, the critically acclaimed and Peabody Award-winning series will return for a third season. The third season of Somebody Somewhere will conclude the series.

Returning as Sam is comedian Bridget Everett (Little Evil, Inside Amy Schumer), writer and executive producer for the series via the press release. Also returning for the third season is Jeff Hiller (Nightcap, American Horror Story) as Sam’s best friend of sorts, Joel, Tim Bagley (Will & Grace, Grace and Frankie) as Brad, Mary Catherine Garrison (Veep, Let Them All Talk) as Tricia Miller, Meighan Gerachis (All Happy Families, Chicago P.D.) as Irma, Murray Hill (Drag Me to Dinner, Jackpot!) as Fred Rococo, Mercedes White (Empire, Chicago P.D.) as Tiffani and Jennifer Mudge (Nostalgia, The Surrogate) as Susan. According to the official press release, season three “follows Sam (Everett), a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam’s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible. Anywhere. Somewhere. In season three, we see growth against all odds.”

Along with Everett, co-creators, executive producers and writers Paul Thureen (Driveways, Strangers) and Hannah Bos (Driveways, Strangers) are responsible for the heart and soul of the series, joined by Carolyn Strauss (The Last of Us, Chernobyl) as an executive producer. They boasted their appreciation for the show’s success, commenting, “The heart of Somebody Somewhere is friendship, and we will always hold dear the friendships on the screen and those forged behind the camera,” as per the press release

Season three of Somebody Somewhere will premiere Sunday, October 27 at 10:30 p.m. ET/11:00 p.m. PT exclusively on HBO and Max. The teaser is available to watch now.
