As 2026 hits its midpoint, HBO teased what’s to come to screens for the rest of the year. While we wait to see what Paramount has planned for the iconic brand, subscribers can enjoy an array of new and returning series, including the third season of House of the Dragon and the pending arrival of everyone’s favorite kid wizard. The two-minute clip opens with clips from the major titles of the last few months, narrated by The Pitt’s Noah Wyle (The Librarians). The trailer then transcends into the mix of shows underneath HBO’s prestigious brand, beginning with the third season of Conan O’Brien Must Go. The show finds the Oscar-hosting comedian using his talents as a tour guide for the travel show.
Other non-scripted fare also includes two new documentary series: Monsters of God and The Man Will Burn. And, sports fans can look forward to a new season of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks, arriving in August.
On the scripted side, the fall of House of Targaryen continues on June 21 with the highly anticipated third season. Following the Game of Thrones spinoff, we get our first live-action series of the new DCU in Lanterns on August 16. Kyle Chandler (Anniversary, Friday Night Lights) and Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge, Old) are two of the most iconic Green Lanterns seeking to solve a murder in the Midwest.
Other new series will be the previously announced Big Bang Theory spinoff, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. The new show finds supporting characters of the original sitcom in a single-cam adventure involving time travel. It’s a bold tone shift from the long-running CBS series.
Staying in the comedic vein, Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld) returns to HBO with Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, limited series he produced in partnership with President Barack Obama’s Higher Ground imprint. And Sharon Horgan of Bad Sisters and Vladimir fame premieres her new comedy, Youth.
Under drama, everyone’s favorite Industrial Age socialites return for another posh season of The Gilded Age. And two modern socialites played by Dominic West (The Wire, The Affair) and Sienna Miller (American Sniper, Anatomy of a Scandal) battle in the legal drama, War.
Finally, 2026 will close with the grand undertaking — Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a new adaptation of the bestselling novel and film series, that’s already been renewed for a second season.
