HBO Releases A Second Teaser For ‘Dune: Prophecy’

After HBO published the first teaser two months ago, Warner Bros. Discovery published press release yesterday announcing the official second teaser of the sci-fi television series Dune: Prophecy, which can be watched below.

Dune: Prophecy is co-produced with Legendary Television, which has produced titles such as Drops of God and Lost in Space. The first season will consist of six episodes and premiere this November on HBO. Additionally, the series will be available to stream on Max.

The original drama series is set in Frank Herbert’s (The White Plague, The Jesus Incident) Dune universe, focusing on two Harkonnen sisters 10,000 years before Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet (Wonka, Bones and All) in the latest Dune film adaptations. They fight threats to humanity and help create the Bene Gesserit, a significant group in the Dune series. The story is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune by New York Times bestselling authors Brian Herbert (The Unborn, Stormworld) and Kevin J. Anderson (Enemies & Allies, Clockwork Angels). Herbert will also serve as executive producer, while Anderson will be a co-producer.

As reported by Warner Bros. Discovery, the cast features Emily Watson (Punch-Drunk Love, Chernobyl), Olivia Williams (The Crown, The Nevers), Travis Fimmel (Boy Swallows Universe, Vikings), Jodhi May (The Witcher, Renegade Nell), Mark Strong (The Penguin, 1917), Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (The Colony, Knightfall), Josh Heuston (Heartbreak High, Thor: Love and Thunder), Chloe Lea (Great Expectations, Foundation), Jade Anouka (His Dark Materials, Fool Me Once), Faoileann Cunningham (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Northman), Aoife Hinds (Normal People, The Long Call) and Chris Mason (Riverdale, Doctor Who).

Alison Schapker (Lost, Fringe) serves as showrunner, while Diane Ademu-John (The Originals, Medium) is the co-developer. Schapker and Ademu-John also act as executive producers alongside Jordan Goldberg (Westworld, Inception), Mark Tobey (Deadwood, The Birdcage), John Cameron (Severance, Fargo), Matthew King (True Dating Stories, The Dessert), Scott Z. Burns (Extrapolations, The Report) and Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange, Passengers).
