According to Variety, the new 4K remaster of Mad Men aired on HBO Max and was met with some slight issues. The series came with an unexpected barf machine after an unedited version of the series was accidentally uploaded to the streamer. Lionsgate stated that it will be delivering the correct version of the series soon enough.

As per Variety, fans who were excited for the remaster were met with sloppy edits in the streamer’s recently uploaded version. The one scene that is most noticeable to have issues is in the episode  “Red in the Face,” from the first season of the series. This episode includes a scene where crew members could be clearly seen feeding fake vomit into a machine for the character of Roger Sterling.

According to Variety, one fan took to X to showcase some concerns. The post read as follows: “The new 4K transfer of Mad Men on HBO somehow does not have any of the post-production edits added in, which means you get stuff like this where you can see the crew member manning the puke machine after Roger has too many oysters lmao.” Below is the full post.

Fans of the series also noticed via Variety, that many of the episode titles have been mislabeled, which appear to have now been fixed. Insiders confirmed that the incorrect files were delivered to HBO Max by mistake.

As per VarietyMad Men’s plot centers on charismatic but troubled creative director Don Draper, who is burdened by secret identity, and the ambitious secretary Peggy Olson, who rises through the ranks to become a talented copywriter. The series ran from 2007 to 2015 on AMC and was most recently added to HBO Max.

Mad Men is a great addition to the HBO Max library of iconic content,” said Royce Battleman, EVP of global content acquisitions at Warner Bros,  via Variety. Discovery said when HBO Max announced the acquisition last month. “We are thrilled that HBO Max will provide fans the opportunity to enjoy the series in a fresh way with an enhanced 4K viewing experience.”
