Season two of HBO Max’s, soon to be Max, comedy-drama series And Just Like That will debut on the streaming service this June. The platform released an official teaser trailer on Wednesday morning.
The trailer features many familiar characters from the original series and season one. The main three characters Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte are together again exploring more of what the beloved city of New York holds for them in their fifties.
This season of the Sex and the City spinoff will alsosee the return of several cast members from season one including Sarah Jessica Parker’s (Failure to Launch) Carrie, Cynthia Nixon’s (The Only Living Boy in New York) Miranda, and Kristin Davis’s (Holiday in the Wild) Charlotte. Other cast members returning are Sara Ramírez (Grey’s Anatomy), Sarita Choudhury (A Hologram for the King), Nicole Ari Parker (The Best Man: The Final Chapters), Karen Pittman (The Morning Show), Mario Cantone (Ask Me to Dance), David Eigenberg (Chicago Fire), Evan Handler (The Three Stooges), Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Niall Cunningham (Life in Pieces), Cathy Ang (Over the Moon), and Alexa Swinton (Billions).
Season two also sees the return of the character of Aidan Shaw (John Corbette, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) to the franchise. Aidan is a love interest of Carrie from the original Sex and the City television series that last appeared in Sex and the City 2 when the pair ran into each other in Abu Dhabi. Carrie is seen in the trailer dealing with her grief from the loss of her husband Big in season one, and the tease of Aidan’s return presumably will add to the drama.
The series is executively produced by Michael Patrick King as well as Parker, Nixon, and Davis. All episodes of season one of And Just Like That are streaming now on HBO Max.
