HBO Max has revealed a first look at their upcoming series The Last Of Us, which is based on the popular PlayStation video game of the same name. The first look was included in compilation video of looks into multiple new shows that are coming soon to the streaming service and previews of new seasons of other HBO Max shows including The Last of Us, The Idol, Love and Death, Succession, The White Lotus, And Just Like That, Hacks, The White House Plumbers, and Our Flag Means Death.
The new clips of the upcoming series includes looks into the characters of Nico Parker (The Third Day), Bella Ramsey (The Worst Witch), Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), and Nick Offerman (Parks And Recreation). Parker plays Sarah, Ramsey plays Ellie, Pascal plays Joel, and Offerman plays Bill, as noted by CNET. IGN reported earlier this month that Lamar Johnson (Kings) will be playing Henry and Keivonn Woodard (Seeds Of Hope) will be playing Sam.
The Last Of Us franchise has released two games for PlayStation including an original The Last Of Us, which was released in 2013. That game has been remade and will be re-releasing early next month as The Last Of Us: Part I on consoles and on PC later on in the future, according to ComicBook.com. The second game was a sequel to the first titled The Last Of Us: Part II, which was released in 2020. The franchise also released a computer game titled The Last Of Us: Left Behind in 2014.
In terms of a release for The Last Of Us, it likely won’t be premiering until early in 2023, according to ComicBook.com. However, fans can expect more trailers in the near future now that a first look has been released.
