As of today, HBO Max has given us the very first teaser for Chuck Lorre’s (Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Leanne) The Big Bang Theory spinoff called Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. We finally get to see what’s in store for us in this series involving everyone’s favorite comic book store owner, Stuart Bloom.
For those who don’t know, the series tells a story involving the titular comic book store owner, Stuart Bloom who has been tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device that was built by Sheldon and Leonard. The devices brings an alternate version of himself from a terrible reality that he can fix. Assisting on this journey is girlfriend Denise, his geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist, Barry Kripke. In the teaser we see one of the alternate versions of Stuart and Bert, who appear to be from some kind of dystopia and is warning our Stuart that none of this has to happen if he can somehow manage to save the universe. We also see a version Barry where he is addressed as the supreme ruler of South Pasadena. The series will offer both elements of science fiction and comedy as well.
The cast consists of Kevin Sussman (Hurricanna, FBI), Louis Mustillo (The Alto Knights, Ghosts), Jascha Charron (The Rookie, The Final Test), Violette Linnz (Imperfect Women, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty), Brandon Morales (Sugar, Stranger Things), Brooklyn Rose (Bon Iver: Day One Feat.
