In the clip, we hear Brenton Thwaites’ (The Giver, Gods of Egypt) Dick Grayson/Nightwing narrate about a new kind of enemy and threat that awaits the series’ young heroes. Along with his voice over, we see hints of one of the most formidable foes in Batman and comics lore as it appears the narrative will take place in Gotham City.

According to Deadline, Thwaites is joined by an array of characters from the greater DC universe. The main cast includes Anna Diop (Us, The Messengers) as Starfire, Teagan Croft’s Raven (The Osiris Child, Home & Away), and Ryan Potter (Supah Ninjas, Big Hero 6) as Gar Logan aka Beast Boy. They are joined by Joshua Orpin (Highest Point, Preacher), Curran Walters (20th Century Women, Game of Silence), and Conor Leslie (Shots Fired, Other Space). They portray Connor Kent, Jason Todd/Robin, and Donna Troy/Wonder Girl, respectively.

The supporting cast will see four new characters in season three. According to Deadline, Jay Lycurgo (The Batman, War of the Worlds) will recur as Tim Drake. The series also gains two new villains in Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men, In Time) playing Scarecrow, and Damaris Lewis (BlacKKKlansmen, Pose) portraying Starfire’s evil sister, Blackfire. Lastly, Savannah Welch (The Transcendents, Boyhood) will take on the role as Barbara Gordon. The series will also see the return of Minka Kelly (Almost Human, The Roommate) and Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) as Dove and Hawk, respectively.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. Television produces the series in conjunction with Weed Road Productions and Berlanti Productions. The series was created by Akiva Goldsman (Without Remorse, Winter’s Tale), Geoff Johns (Stargirl, Green Lantern), and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Naomi). Johns and Berlanti serve as executive producers along with Sarah Schechter (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Flash) and Greg Walker (Without A Trace, Harsh Realm).

Deadline reports new episodes of Titans will premiere every Thursday concluding on October 21. The first two seasons are available to stream now on HBO Max.
