HBO Drops Images For Upcoming Season Of ‘Euphoria’

Deadline has reported that HBO has released new images for the upcoming season of Euphoria. The photos come just after the series released its first footage of the long-awaited series

According to Deadline, the series will take place after a significant time skip, thus, the characters will be in much different places in their lives. In the images, we see Rue, played by Zedaya (Malcom & Marie, Dune), gaze contemplatively upwards as she sits in the pews of a church.

Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You, The Handmaid’s Tale), who plays Cassie, stares directly into the camera as an ice cream cone drips down her hand. Jacob Elordi  (Saltburn, Priscilla) stands in the kitchen while handling some animal products. Lexi and Maddy, played by Maude Apatow (This Is 40, Funny People) and Alexa Demie (Waves, Mid90s), stand in what appears to be a studio lot. Jules, played by Hunter Schafer (Kinds Of Kindness, Cuckoo), crouches in front of some of what is likely her own artwork via Deadline.

Deadline has reported that Chloe Cherry (Find Your Friends, The French Italian) and Martha Kelly (Corporate Animals, Marriage Story) have both been promoted from recurring characters to series regulars. In addition to the returning cast, new members will join the series, including the television debut of Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch (Bottoms, Matt’s Chance), Kadeem Harrison (A Different World, Drive), Darrell Britt-Gibson (She Taught Love, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri), Priscilla Delgado (Julieta, Los Hombres De Paco), James Landry Hébert (1883, Stranger Things), and Anna Van Patten (Gossip Girl, FBI: Most Wanted).

According to Deadline, Barbie Ferreira (Bob Trevino, Likes It, Nope) will not return to the cast for the upcoming season. Additionally, Angus Cloud (Abigail, Your Lucky Day), who played fan-favorite Fezco, tragically passed away in 2023 before any filming took place. Gia, Rue’s younger sister, will also not be in the third season as Storm Reid (A Wrinkle In Time, Sleight)  elected not to return.

Via Deadline, Euphoria is produced by A24 and is written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson ( The Idol, Malcom & Marie).
