Halloween ‘Toy Story’ Short To Appear On ABC

In continuation of the shorts released after the conclusion of the “Toy Story” trilogy, ABC will be premiering a Halloween special titled Toy Story of Terror on October 16.

A 10 minute preview of the half hour short was shown at Disney’s D23 expo. Many previous cast members are featured like Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Kristen Schaal, Wallace Shawn, Joan Cusack, Carl Weathers and Stephen Tobolowsky.

“What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate,” ABC said of the short.

There will be a handful of allusions and horror movie homages being made throughout, including an eerie narration from Mr. Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton), according to Vulture.

Toy Story of Terror will be directed by Angus MacLane and produced by Galyn Susman.
