Hallmark announced a new limited series in the works called The Twelve Days Of Christmas. The news was shared in an article earlier today with Deadline. The show will be a six-episode limited series. Based on the book written by Jenni Bayliss (Meet Me Under The Mistletoe, Kiss Me at Christmas) and is set to air during the Hallmarks special Countdown to Christmas. Production has been in the works and the show was filmed in Dublin, Ireland.
The cast of The Twelve Days of Christmas includes Mae WhitmanMae Whitman (Good Girls, Parenthood), Mary Mcdonnell (Major Crimes, The Closer), Jane Seymour (Irish Wish, Puppy Love) Julian Morris (New Girl, A Royal Queens Christmas), Toby Sademan (The Game, Running Point), Lucy Eaton (Murder Maps, Staged), and Nathaniel Parker (The Haunted Mansion, Flawless).
Deadline shared the plot of the show in the same article. The series tells the story of a pattern designer named Kate played by Whitman, living in a small village in Blexford, England who is neighbors with her father. Kate’s father is a divorced man stuck at home recovering from a motorcycle accident. Kate spends her days designing patterns and taking care of her father, while her mother travels the world. Kate’s best friend Laura, played by Eaton, signs Kate up for The Twelve Days Of Christmas, a dating program designed for holiday activities set to bring couples together for the season. Kate must complete twelve dates to make it through the program. Of course, being in the dating program doesn’t come easy, and Kate must navigate her way through as she tries to balance her responsibilities and dating. Kate takes on the challenge and learns new things about herself.
