According to ScreenRant, Good Omens creator Neil Gaiman (The Sandman) recently revealed how the stars of the series reacted to the upcoming season two. After four years the Prime Video fantasy series is finally getting a second season premiering July 28th. Gaiman has shared the reactions of Micheal Sheen (Prodigal Son), David Tennant (Doctor Who), and Jon Hamm (Mad Men) in a recent Tumblr post. This came about due to Gaiman always asking fans questions through his personal Tumblr account.
After being asked about the cast’s reaction to the new episodes Gaiman answered, ‘’They’ve both been sent it. I know David has seen it because he left me a stunned video message about how he only planned to watch the first episode and watched the whole thing and how wonderful it was. Michael has been directing his first TV series, and I don’t think he’s had a spare five hours to watch anything yet, although I know he wants to. (Jon Hamm has also seen it and loves it.)’’
Good Omens is based on Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s (The Amazing Maurice) 1990s hit novel with the same name and premiered on Prime Video on May 31st, 2019, and aired weekly on BBC. The story is a comedic interpretation of the birth of the son of Satan, also known as the Antichrist, and the end of the world. The series follows the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley who attempt to sabotage the coming of the end of times due to becoming used to their new life in England.
Other than Tennant, Sheen, and Hamm, the cast includes Frances McDormand (Fargo), Sam Taylor Buck (Medici), Daniel Mays (The Bank Job), Sian Brooke (Sherlock), Miranda Richardson (The Crying Game), Adria Arjona (Andor), and many others.
Season two of Good Omens will premiere on Prime Video on July 28th. Season one is currently available to stream on the platform.
