‘Glee’ Might be Moving to NYC Full-Time

Reports that Glee may be shifting to a total different focus have been circulating. The change may occur as early as this season.

TVLine reported exclusively that Glee creators may be contemplating the idea of moving the musical series’ story to New York City, and that it could happen later this season.

Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk were forced to take a totally different approach on the show a few months ago after Cory Monteith passed away, and if this rumor proves to be true, it’d be the biggest change the show has seen.

For the past two seasons, Glee has been splitting its focus between Lima, Ohio, where it originally started, and New York City, since Rachel, Kurt and Santana moved there after graduating from high school. Moving the show there wouldn’t mean the location of the set would change, but only a lot more on-location shooting.

Earlier this month, Ryan Murphy hinted that he had “a good idea” as to how the show should go and how it should end, so maybe this is part of his big plan.

Nothing is certain yet, but if this plot-twist were to happen, a lot of characters fates would definitely change.
