ABC’s Dr. Ken is going to have its fourth mini Community reunion.
Gillian Jacobs is set to guest star on a January episode of the Ken Jeong-starring medical comedy series, Entertainment Weekly reports. The episode will see Jacobs take on the part of Erin, a new intern at the hospital who begins to fall for Dr. Ken.
Former Community regular Jeong co-created Dr. Ken and stars with Suzy Nakamura, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Jonathan Slavin, Albert Tsai, Krista Marie Yu, and Dave Foley.
With her guest spot on Dr. Ken Jacobs, who starred as Britta in Community, follows in the footsteps of Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, and Jim Rash in visiting from Greendale Community College.
Though she may have spent six seasons starring on NBC’s cult comedy darling and has had quite the sordid affair with Paul F. Tompkins’ Garry Marshall, Jacobs has had plenty of other projects that showcase her knockout talent. She currently stars alongside UCB alum Paul Rust on Netflix’s romantic dramedy series Love, which has its second season slated for sometime next year. On the film side Jacobs recently starred in Mike Birbiglia’s improv-focused Don’t Think Twice, can soon be seen co-starring in Demetri Martin’s directing debut Dean, and stars with Brett Gelman, Judy Greer, and Michael Cera in Janicza Bravo’s upcoming film Lemon.
Dr. Ken airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on ABC.
