The Librarians follows the journey of Flynn played by Noah Wyle (Falling Skies) and his guardian Eve, played by Rebecca Romijn (X2), and their recruiters Ezekiel played by John Harlan Kim (Pandora), Jacob played by Christian Kane (Angel), and Cassandra played by Lindy Booth (Dawn of the Dead).Together, they track down and secure magical objects.
According to Screenrant, it has been five years since the tv series has been cancelled, but now it is being revived with a spin-off. The series will take place in 1847 and follow Vikram Chamberlin played by Callum McGowan (Raven’s Hollow), and follows the same format in the previous series. According to Screenrant, a first look was revealed and shows Vikram and his associates played by Bluey Robinson(Cats) as Connor Green, Olivia Morris (Hotel Portofino) as,Lysa Pascal , Caroline Loncq (Mammals) as Elaine Astalot, and Jessica Green (The Outpost) as Charlie Cornwall.
According to Screenrant, The Librarians: The Next Chapter is set to premiere on CW, which is well known for having several successful fantasy theme tv shows such as Supernatural, The Outpost, and The Vampire Diaries. This is a significant shift from the original TNT series, which ran for four seasons, but could help in improving the franchise as a whole.
The show runner, Dean Delvin (Godzilla) has stated,” If season one can start strongly, and satisfy legacy audiences while also attracting new viewers, there is every chance the series is going to excel and become a long-term success.
The spin-off has just finished casting last month, and have a clear direction on where the adventure will be going. It has been mentioned that Kane will appear to reprise his role as Jacob Stone in the series.
