Three suspects, attempting to steal the catalytic converter from Wactor’s vehicle, confronted the actor when he intervened. During the altercation, Wactor was shot. The suspects then fled the scene, leaving Wactor critically injured. He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
