Geeked Week Releases First Glance Of Season Two Of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’

According to Comicbook, the Netflix social Geeked Week has publicized first glance of Wednesday season two. The season will be released in 2025 as filming is currently taking place. However, fans were anticipating appearances from popular Netflix shows and films, which included the Addams Family teaser.

About two years ago, the premiere of Wednesday was released to the public via Netflix. Shortly after, the series became Netflix’s most notorious show. The show stars Jenna Ortega (Stuck In The Middle, You) as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago, Titanic) as Morticia, Luis Guzman (Narcos, Turbo)  as Gomez, Fred Armisen (Easy A, The Super Mario Bros. Movie) as Uncle Fester, Christina Ricci (Now and Then, The Addams Family) as Marilyn Thornhill, Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1) as Larissa Welms and many more.

Questions arise after the season one finale, as the biggest is the identity of Wednesday’s stalker. After departing Nevermore during a break, Xavier has an idea as of how they can keep in touch by giving her a phone. An anonymous sender finds the number and sends her threatening emojis and a thrilling GIF of her head with a knife on it.

Other follow-up questions viewers had were: what happened to Marilyn in the final battle after passing out? After Marilyn attempts to bring Joseph Crackstone back to life, he is selected by Marilyn because of his history with the Addams family. Marilyn’s plans fail as Joseph is killed by Wednesday and her friends. However, fans still wonder what occurred to the character.

Two new actors were added to the cast for season two. Steven Buscemi (Grown Ups, Monsters, INC.) is scheduled to appear as the new Nevermore principal. Thandiwe Newton’s (2012, Good Deed) role is being kept secret at the time.

“This season is going to be more bigger and more twisted than you could ever imagine,” the actor of Morticia Addams, Zeta-Jones, stated in a voiceover.
