‘Games of Thrones’ Franchise Takes To Cinema Along With Future Project Series

Warner Bros. is embarking on an ambitious project to expand the world of Westeros beyond the realm of television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has confirmed that a Game of Thrones movie is in the early stages of development. The showrunners of the original series, David Benioff (Gemini Man) and Dan Weiss (3 Body Problem) has stated that they wanted to conclude the iconic fantasy series with three films

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is not the addition within the franchise as the second season of the prequel series, House of the Dragon, which focused on the war between the two factions of House Targaryen has concluded back in August 4.

The other series in the framchise that is in development which is dubbed A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is scheduled to premier in 2025 and takes place century before the events of Game of Thrones. According to an mxdwn post, the cast of the series has recently recived an update on the casting, with the series focused on Ser Duncan the Tall played by Peter Claffey (Viking:Vahalla) and his squire, Egg played by Dexter Ansell (The Moor)

Kim Masters (The Business) has stated in a report with The Hollywood Reporter,”Thrones content has occasionally appeared in theaters before, with HBO having previously given major episodes of the original series limited screenings around the country to help promote the show.”

While fans await to hear further news on the future of franchise will take, The entirety of both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon is available to stream on Max. Fans can expected a flood of new characters that will forever impact the franchise’s timeline, as well as delving into unknown lore behind Westros.
