Below is the official trailer for the 17th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a series that follows a group of self-centered, heavy-drinking misfits called The Gang who run an unsuccessful Irish bar called Paddy’s Pub in the neighborhood of South Philadelphia. Recently, the series had a crossover episode with another Philadelphia series, Abbott Elementary, as The Gang joined in as volunteers at The Willard R. Abbott Elementary School.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, cast of the series includes Charlie Day (Fist Fight, Side Quest) as Charlie, Glen Howerton (Sirens, Velma) as Dennis, Rob McElhenney (Mythic Quest, Welcome to Wrexham) as Mac, Kaitlin Olson (High Potential, Hacks) as Dee, Danny DeVito (Maltida, The War of the Roses) as Frank and many others.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Quinta Brunson (A Black Lady Sketch Show) previously told THR of the crossover episodes and said, “They represent a part of South Philly, and we represent a part of West Philly that is very real, and it wasn’t a long walk for these characters to interact. It just made sense immediately. And when it came to us that easy, we were like, ‘Yeah, we have to do this.’ … Charlie [Day] and Rob [McElhenney] came into the room with us one day, they were wonderful, just excellent, excellent collaborators. I can’t say enough kind words about them. We had a ball. We’ve been having a ball on set. They’re just a delight to work with.”
The 17th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will premiere on July 9. The series is available to stream on Hulu.
