According to Deadline, FX has just revealed the official teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi series Alien: Earth. The official teaser trailer was revealed during Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Bills and the Chiefs. Along with the official teaser the series also released a new key art titled “XenoDome”.
Below is the full teaser trailer for Alien: Earth which is set two years before the events of the 1979 film Alien.
As per Deadline, the series is created by Noah Hawley (Lucy in the Sky) and the show’s synopsis reads as follows: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in the sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth.
Cast of the series includes Sydney Chandler (The Golden Rut), Alex Lawther (The End of the F***ing World), Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet), Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), Samuel Blenkin (Black Mirror), Babou Ceesay (Eye in the Sky), David Rysdahl (Nine Days), Adrian Edmondson (War & Peace), Adarsh Gourav (My Name Is Khan), Jonathan Ajayi (The Man in My Basement), Erana James (Bad Behavior), Lily Newmark (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Diem Camille (Alex Rider) and Moe Bar-El (The Return).
“There’s something about seeing a Xenomorph in the wilds of Earth with your own eyes,” Hawley told Deadline at the Emmy Awards in September. “That is truly chilling to think of it moving here among us, and so I can’t tell you under what circumstances you’ll see that, but you’ll see it — and you’re going to lock your door that night.”
When speaking about the approach taken to design the Xenomorph Hawley said, “What was really fun for me was to really engage with the creature, bring some of my own thoughts to the design while not touching the silhouette, because that’s sacrosanct. But some of the elements as we know, whatever the host is inform what the final creature is. I just wanted to play around a little bit to make it as scary as it should be.”
