

According to Deadline, FX announced that it has picked up the Emmy-winning show The Bear for a fifth season. The show stars Jeremy Allen White (Shameless, The Rental), Ayo Edebiri (Inside out 2, Bottoms) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls, The Punisher). It is set to premiere in 2026.
Chairman of FX John Landgraf (Reno 911, mad Love) told Deadline, “The Bear continues to be a family favorite worldwide and their response to this season-as seen through incredibly high viewership=has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons.” Landgraf continues, “Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer (Eighth Grade, Bubble & Squeak), the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on televisions, and we are excited that they will continue this magnificent story.”
Additional members of the cast include, Abby Elliott (No Strings Attached, SNL), Lionel Boyce (the Jellies, Motor City), Liza Colon-Zayas (Driven, IF) and Matty Matheson (Doug Out, Midnight Drop) also star in The Bear along with Oliver Platt (Chicago Med, Babes) and Molly Gordon (Theatre Camp, You People). According to Deadline, AFI named each of the first three seasons of The Bear television program of the year. Most recently, The Bear won 11 Emmy Awards during the second season. This was the most wins in a single season for any comedy series. The show also won numerous other awards, including but not limited to, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, Peabody, Critics Choice, and The Writers and Directors Guild just to name a few.
According to mxdwn, The Bear is created by Storer, who also serves as executive producer alsong side Josh Senior (Swallowed, On The Count Of three), Joanna Calo (Hacks, Thunderbolt), Cooper Wehde (Y2K, The Lincoln Highway), Tyson Bidner (The Whale, Ramy), Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai (Atlanta, Station Eleven) and Rene Gube (Superstore, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).
