The first trailer for the long-awaited HBO Max Friends reunion has been released, along with an official premiere date, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The NBC comedy series premiered in 1994 and aired for ten seasons, later gaining recognition from a newer generation after its 236 episodes were made available to stream on Netflix in 2015. The show was removed from Netflix in 2019 and was placed on HBO Max in 2020.
The reunion special will feature a wide range of guest stars, some of which recurring their secondary roles. The actors, singers, and public figures who will make appearances include David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden (The Late Late Show with James Cordon), Cindy Crawford (Fair Game), Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad), Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould (Ocean’s Eleven), Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Larry Hankin (El Camino), Mindy Kaling (The Office), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Christina Pickles (Break a Hip), Tom Selleck (Magnum, P.I.), James Michael Tyler (Episodes), Maggie Wheeler (The Parent Trap), Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies), and Malala Yousafzai.
As expected, Friends leads will make appearances in their reunion special, including Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show), Courtney Cox (Cougar Town), Lisa Kudrow (Boss Baby), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (17 Again), and David Schwimmer (Tangled). The original gang will return to the comedy’s original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Brothers Studio lot in Burbank.
