Corabella Garrey: I have been interested in writing for a long time. It is exciting to figure what one should do for the rest of their life, so it came as a surprise when it just came to me to be a writer. I dreamt about being on a set a few years back, making me question how films were made and how they were written out. I started writing scripts and short stories non-stop, sharing them with friends and captivating the professional creativity it can bring to my life. I overcame the struggle to make scripts and other cinema projects while on a deadline by organizing my time responsibly and approaching each task one at a time to be completed. I went to high school at St. Francis in Grand Traverse County and now am graduating from University of Iowa. I went on Study Abroad in Paris and took Advanced Screenwriting to help my writing abilities grow and learn more of film’s cultural influence around the world. As a hobby, I have taken up poetry and have found it to be satisfying to do as it gets my wonderful thoughts and ideas written down on paper.
