The highly anticipated spinoff of The Office, which is rumored to be titled The Paper, is in production and brings a wave of talent. According to TVLine, back in May, the streaming service Peacock ordered .the yet-to-be-named comedy series from Greg Daniels (Space Force) and co-creator Michael Koman (Nathan for You).The plot of the new mockumentary-style series is currently unknown, but it is “set in the same universe” as its predecessor.
According to TVLine, leading the assemble of the new series are Domhnall Gleeson (Alice & Jack) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), and recently, on Tuesday, the new additions included Melvin Gregg (Snowball), Chelsea Frei (The Cleaning Lady) and Ramona Young (Legends of Tomorrow). These new additions surely promise to bring a new level of entertainment and a sense of youthfulness to the spinoff.
It’s been more than 10 years since the final episode of The Office aired on NBC, and the acclaimed comedy series continues to gain popularity and build new generations of fans on Peacock,” Lisa Katz, president of scripted content, NBCU Entertainment stated via TVLine in May.”
She continued her statement with, “In partnership with Universal Television and led by the creative team of Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, this new series set in the universe of Dunder Mifflin introduces a new cast of characters in a fresh setting ripe for comedic storytelling: a daily newspaper.”
The Office spinoff will assuredly offer a new perspective on the franchise and will be a must-watch series for old and new fans.
